“Prior to moving to Luray as a full time resident in 2017, I worked and resided in Pennsylvania. I tried numerous times to get involved with the local chamber but due to my work schedule and the fact they only did morning events I could never join. When we moved here, I knew very few people and I had a lot of time on my hands. I heard there was an active Chamber of Commerce and sought them out. I was excited to see that they offered events at various times of the day. Early morning breakfasts, business after hours, lunch and learns. Events are offered to handle individuals needs and schedules. I attended my first breakfast event and felt very welcomed not just by the chamber but by local business owners as well. Flash forward and I’m still an active member of my local chamber. Most of my friends I met through my local chamber. My businesses have grown due to my local chamber. My networking with local businesses has vastly improved due to my local chamber. We are very lucky to have such an organization in our area.”
