When is the best blooming time in the Garden?
If you are a fan of late spring blooms, mid-May or Mother’s Day is the time when there are no more frosts. The flowers and plants are safe from the cold, the plant colors are bright and fragrant, and the temperatures are still cool and pleasant for us.
Mother’s Day is a wonderful time to treat your Mom, or someone very special to you. It is a chance for you to celebrate and appreciate all that they have done.
Some Moms love flowers and gardening…which means a stroll through Birdsong Pleasure Garden’s Mother’s Day Open House is perfect for those special people in our lives.
The Open House is Sunday, May 11th, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm, whatever the weather. Visitors may wander the Gardens on their own, or if there happens to be a Garden Tour, they can join in.

Bring friends, a picnic lunch, leashed dogs, and cameras.
All donations benefit Land Preservation in the Shenandoah Valley.
