Luray and Page County has plenty of swimming at Lake Arrowhead, Luray Greenway swimming hole or Hawksbill Creek.

Swimming

Take A Dip!

Nothing makes a vacation feel like a true vacation like finding a place to swim and soak up the sun. While we’re nestled between two mountain ranges and a few hours from the beach, the county still offers up a variety of places for your next dip.

Lake Arrowhead has a sandy beach for parents and teens to relax on while the kids swim to their hearts content. Or, if you’re looking for a little swimming hole right in the middle of town, go no farther than the South end of the Luray Greenway. Right at the pedestrian bridge crossing the Hawksbill Creek, below the railroad overpass, you’ll see a rope swing for those looking to make a splash.

Looking for something a little more man-made? Check out the only public pool in the county in the Town of Stanley. Or, if you're searching for more features, check out Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park’s or head up the road to Massanutten Resort for their massive indoor and outdoor water park. If those still don't satisfy you and your family, pick up some discounted Kings Dominion tickets from the Luray-Page County Chamber of Commerce and take a day trip to Soak City!
